Celanese TPV Forprene® offers excellent elastic properties in a broad range of hardness´s and within a wide temperature range.
TPE-V Forprene® is widely used in automotive industry for applications such as sealing, windshield wipers, glass encapsulation, steering bellows, 2K molding, and others.
General info
Thermoplastic elastomer Forprene® TPV (TPE-V) is a two-phase material: a soft elastomeric part that provides rubber-like properties and a hard part that ensures that material is repeatedly processable by standard injection or extrusion molding.
Forprene® TPV offers many benefits such as:
- High elastic recovery within a wide temperature range
- Excellent resistance to UV aging, ozone and weathering
- Excellent resistance to several chemicals, e.g. bases, acids, alcohols, detergents, solvents
- High fatigue resistance
- High thermal and electric insulation values
- Good abrasion resistance
- Excellent colorability for some grades
- Good processability
TPV Forprene® offers a wide range of grades:
- Hardness range from 20 Shore A to 60 Shore D
- With low temperature limit down to -40°C
- With max continuous temperature up to 130°C
- High transparency
- UV stabilized
- Heat stabilized
- Flame retardant
- Low emissions
